Cath Boyle has been appointed Head of Buying and Merchandising
at leading High Street chains Semichem and The Fragrance House
which are both owned by Scotmid Co-operative.
Bringing over 30 years of experience to the role Cath, who is
from Glasgow, joined the business from Internacionale where she was
Head of Buying. Previous to that, Cath was Buying Controller for
Poundstretcher in Leeds and Head of Buying for Topshop and Topman
in London.
Commenting on her new role with Semichem and Fragrance House she
said, "Semichem is a strong and well established business for
everyday toiletries and fragrances at highly competitive prices. It
has a strong customer following and I will build on this ensuring
our customers are offered the brands that they want. The
Fragrance House offers a superb opportunity for expansion and
growth whilst our e-commerce sites are still in their infancy and
ready for real progression. This is an exciting time to join
the business."
Colin McLean, Chief Operating Officers said, "In the highly
competitive marketplaces in which we operate it is essential that
we bring to the business experienced and knowledgeable individuals
who are well respected in the industry. That is exactly what Cath
brings to the business and I and the rest of the team are looking
forward to working with her as she brings a new dimension to both
Semichem and the Fragrance House."
