Membership of Scotmid Co-operative gives you the opportunity to truly be part of something bigger. You will have the opportunity to have a say in how Scotmid is run, to encourage Scotmid to support your local community and to join the Scotmid family, an ethical, honest and open Co-operative.
Our members come from all areas, backgrounds and
ethnicities. On joining Scotmid, you become part of an
organisation with a history of over 150 years, with business
interests spanning the length and breadth of the country and over
46,000 owners of which you will be one.
Membership is open to people aged 16 and over, throughout the
communities served by Scotmid, who can participate in the Society
and who accept the principles of the co-operative movement and are
willing to accept the rights and responsibilities of
membership.
Whichever role you choose to play within the Society you will be
joining something that is truly special and you will be supporting
the values of self help, self responsibility, democracy, equality,
equity and solidarity.
